FALL FEES AND PAYMENT PLANS
At registration, a non-refundable $500 tryout fee will be charged upfront.
If you select a payment plan, the remaining balance will be divided into equal payments scheduled for:
September 1, October 1, November 1, December 1, and January 1.
If you'd like to begin making payments prior to September 1, please contact our Treasurer to adjust your plan.
Please note:
- Late payments, declined credit/debit card charges, or unpaid balances may result in the player being suspended from the ice, as well as a $15 return fee charged by Crossbar.
- Under AHAI regulations (Illinois' governing body for amateur hockey), the Ice Dogs Hockey Association may file for Financial Suspension, which would prevent participation in any AHAI-sanctioned club until resolved.
If you are experiencing any issues or need assistance with your account, we're here to help. Please don’t hesitate to reach out.
If a player chooses to leave the Ice Dogs program after the first round of team placements have been determined, this deposit is non-refundable. In the event that a player is cut from our program, this season's deposit is fully refunded.
ADDITIONAL FINANCIAL OBLIGATION
In addition to season fees and any replacement uniform items, families should expect to contribute to their player’s team slush fund at the start of the season. This amount varies by team and is managed by the team manager.
IDHA is committed to remaining competitively priced with neighboring programs. For any questions, please reach out to a member of the IDHA Board.
WHAT IS CENTRAL STATES?
Division Structure
CSDHL organizes teams into three primary divisions:
- Major: Typically comprises older players within the birth year
- Minor: Generally includes younger players within the same birth year bracket.
- Prospects: A developmental division that combines players from both Major and Minor levels, focusing on skill development and competitive play.
Team Placement Process
Team placement within CSDHL divisions is determined through a structured application and evaluation process:
- Application Submission: Clubs interested in participating must submit applications for the Major, Minor, or Prospects divisions. For the 2025–26 season, applications for Major and Minor divisions are due by May 1, 2025.
- Evaluation Criteria: The CSDHL Selection Committee assesses applications based on several factors, including:
- Team's playing record
- Overall roster strength
- Level of competition faced
- Coaching staff evaluations
- Ice time allocation
- Other relevant intangibles
- Final Decision: The Selection Committee's recommendations are reviewed by the CSDHL Board of Directors, which makes the final determination on team placements.
This comprehensive approach ensures that teams are appropriately placed to maintain competitive balance and promote player development across all divisions.
