Goaltending Development Program
At the Ice Dogs Hockey Association, we know that goaltending is one of the most specialized and often overlooked positions on the ice.
This season, we're strengthening our commitment to goaltending development by giving our goalies greater access to position-specific instruction built around their growth, confidence, and long-term success.
We're proud to introduce our expanded Ice Dogs Goaltending Development Program, led by NCAA Division I goalie and former NAHL standout, Coach Adam Johnson.
With twice as much instructional time each week compared to previous years, Coach Adam will work with Ice Dogs goalies during team practices, specialized clinics, and off-ice sessions. This integrated approach is our most comprehensive goaltending development offering to date and reflects our belief that goalies need consistent access to dedicated coaching and a clear development path throughout the season.
Meet Coach Adam
Coach Adam brings a wealth of high-level experience to our club:
Tier I AAA Indy Fuel and Sioux Falls Power
NCAA Division I: Lindenwood University
Junior Hockey: Danbury Hat Tricks (NAHL), and Johnstown Tomahawks (NAHL)

Program Overview
Every Ice Dogs goalie from mite to bantam will receive position-specific training and individualized feedback throughout the season, all included in their season fees. The program includes:
One weekly coaching session during a team practice, allowing goalies to receive technical instruction within team drills and game-like situations
One specialized goalie clinic every other week, providing focused instruction and repetitions
One weekly goaltending-specific off-ice session, helping goalies improve position-specific mobility, flexibility, and coordination
Plus: A pre-season education workshop for goalies and parents, giving families tools to build a positive goaltender culture and keep the position fun
