Ice Dogs House Plus

Established in 2002, the House Plus (HP) Program serves as both a means for additional instruction and games for house players, as well as a proven developmental feeder system for the Ice Dogs travel hockey teams.

Participation on one of these teams is IN ADDITION to the player’s participation on their IDHL team. NOTE: This is an invite only program, all players are evaluated in September during the house league evaluation skates and candidates are selected by house league directors, level directors and participating coaches. Each team will have a regular weekly practice, usually on Friday evenings, and participate in 2 or 3 tournaments. Tournament fees are in addition to program fee and covered by the team from a slush fund collected by either the team coach or manager.

Please note: there will be conflicts with regular season team schedules, but there is an effort to keep it to a minimum. All HP teams will finish late in February to avoid conflict with end-of-the-season play-offs in the House League. ALL House League players are considered for the HP Program during September evaluations and coaches will contact parents of selected players, who will then have the option of participating for an additional fee on the House Plus Team or declining.
